August 2016 – Happy Planner

Hey Blogging World!

As most of you know even when you have a passion for blogging life can sometimes get in the way! August has been a CRAZY month for me but in all the best ways possible. I was moved to the beauty department of my company (how fitting right?), I applied to grad school and got a full ride (YAYYYY TO DEBIT FREE COLLEGE!) and of I tired to enjoy the rest of the little summer we have left (ALL SUMMA ’16!). Soooo now that I’m back and better than EVER I just wanted to share some Happy Planner Inspo by sharing my layouts for the month of August. Enjoy!

Outfit of the Day: Stylish Working Women

During my time as an intern and even at the start of my career I was soooooo confused about how to dress business professional and stylish. My business class showed me women in square suits which lacked individuality and style; while blogs showed some daring fashion. After much trial and area I think I have something in between which is certainly the sweet spot! Even if you’re job is more casual (my corporate office is pretty laid back) I find it a good idea to stay awayyyyy from anything revealing (they may not stay something to you but trust me they’re looking and talking about you)! I also strongly believe in dressing a little more formal when your having big meetings or will be around management; you want to put your best foot forward and dress for the job you want to have not the one you currently have (promotion time)! Here’s an easy way to be classic, fashionable and professional all at once !

Plan With Me: Mint and Purple

My Happy Planners June layout is this pretty mint color I wanted to take advantage of and choose to mix it with purple to use a super cute sticker sheet I got from the dollar store (pictured below).

The main elements of this speard are all from the Dollar Tree including the sticker sheet and all the washi I used (Yes that thin pack of 7 individual washi is only $1)! With the Dollar Tree stepping up there craft section I create this great speard in under $5 and layered in some random stickers I had in my collection to plan my week out!

Just proving to don’t have to spend a million dollars to have a great planner. I still have many stickers and all the washi left so my $5 will be put to good use for many more layouts to come!

TOP 5 under $5

I love manyyyyy inexpensive and drugstore products;  I really like finding great products that don’t break the bank. Although I have a passion for cosmetics I truly feel sometimes I’m paying for a brand or packing and although I also enjoy branded products they are not practical for everyone me including, especially on things I use daily or loose often (lip products).

In make up there are no rules , especially the “you pay what you get”. These products I’m sharing today aren’t “lower-end dupes” or my “2nd best” products, these are TRULY my #1 GO-TO products that I choose over hgih end makeup any day!

  1. NYX Lip Liners ($3.49):

These liners are very pigmented, super creamy and long lastly. They do everything I need from a lip liner at a GREAT PRICE. I wear them both alone and under lipsticks!nyx lip

2. Wet & Wild Megalast Lip sticks ($1.99)

This formula is literally my favorite lip EVER! They are long-lasting, non-drying and have a great color selection!

  1. Wet & Wild megaglo Contouring Palette ($4.99)

This is a new found love for me which I honestly think is AMAZING. I love the ease of just two universal shades and no guessing. The powders are creamy and apply great (I suggest tapping off the excess before applying).wnw con

  1. Wet & Wild Eyeshadow Primer ($4.69)

This is an AMAZING eye primer. “I love in more than my Urban Decay Primer Potion”, yes I said it! I have very oily lids I even slept with my make up on (don’t try this at home) and the next day the shadows still looked GREAT!

  1. eBay/ Wish App Lashes ($1-$2)

Yes I got these pack of FIVE pairs of lashes on the Wish App for $1 and they are gorgeous! They are not “shinny” like most inexpensive lashes and are super pretty and natural.

If you ladies have not tried any of these under$5 gems – DO SO; you won’t regret it! And if you have some $5 hidden gems let me know I’m always in for a great product and a good deal!

Plan with me (Red, White and Blue)

PWM3..

Last week was sooooo busy for me I actually planned a week in advanced! With the holiday and a trip to Texas all in one week I knew I wouldn’t have the time during the week so mapping out in advance helps keep me organized busy during times. I later go back and fill in extra activities after the week more as memories than “planning”.

Although the week pasted I still wanted to share this spread to show you how to decorate for a holiday without having to get holiday themed stickers! For this Memorial Day Week layout I wanted to go the patriotic route but didn’t have time to buy holiday stickers instead I used:

PWM3

  1. Red dot, glitter light blue and navy dot washi (Walmart, Dollar Store, Johann Fabrics $1)
  2. Red and blue star stickers from a colorful star sheet (Target Dollar Spot  $1)
  3. Navy and white dot craft paper from a colorful mixed paper pad (Michael’s $5)
  4. “Do To” and quote stickers from my MAMBI Create 365™ The Happy Planner™ To Do Stickers & Create 365™ The Happy Planner™ Get It Done Stickers (Michael’s $4.99)
  5. Lastly, I added rodeo themed stickers for my long weekend Texas Trip (Ollie’s Bargain Outlet $2)
    • I’ve never mentioned Ollie’s as a place to get planner decor but they actually have a pretty good craft section with great scrapbook supplies and stickers I use for my decor!

I love how this layout came out and using supplies already in my collect helped me save money to enjoy the holiday and my Texas trip! I biggest time for holiday decor is to just look through your current supplies and pick out anything that goes with the colors associated with that holiday (you’ll end up with more than you know). This was super easy and took little to know time out of my busy week!
